VIDEO The Black Sea, seen from space – images captured by the Orion capsule during the Artemis II mission

The Embassy of Romania in the United States has published images of the Black Sea captured by the Orion spacecraft during NASA's Artemis II mission.
“A rare view of the Black Sea… from space. These stunning images, captured by the Orion spacecraft during the Artemis II mission, reveal the Black Sea from orbit – vast, deep blue and quietly powerful,” embassy representatives wrote in a Facebook post.
They also mention that Romania, located along the western shore of the Black Sea, has a coastline of only 225-245 km, the shortest of the riparian countries.
“At this border, the Danube Delta meets the sea – Europe's newest territory and one of the world's richest ecosystems in terms of biodiversity, which is constantly expanding as the river reshapes the shore. Nearby, Constanta, founded as the ancient Greek colony of Tomis around 600 BC, stands as one of the oldest continuously inhabited cities in the region,” the embassy post also states Romanian, quoted by News.ro.
“Viewed from space, the Black Sea seems timeless. From the ground, Romania's shore reveals how much history, nature and life meet at its edge,” said the embassy representatives.
