King Felipe VI of Spain landed on Monday night at the International Airport in Sibiu. He is to meet President Nicușor Dan at the NATO Military Unit in Cincu, writes the local publication Tower.

According to BoardingPass sources, President Nicușor Dan will fly on Tuesday morning from Bucharest to Sibiu with a C-27J Spartan military transport plane.

On Tuesday, the king will go to Cincu, where the Spanish military who participates in NATO missions, to ensure the Security on the Eastern Flank are dislocated. In Cincu he will meet Nicușor Dan.

After meeting with the Spanish official, the President of Romania will fly from Sibiu to the airport in Chisinau, and on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, he will return to Bucharest.

The first visit of a foreign official from the mandate of Nicușor Dan

The visit takes place in a context of bilateral cooperation between Romania and Spain, consolidated including through military collaboration within NATO. It will be the first visit to Romania of a high state official since taking over the mandate of president by Nicușor Dan.
