New statement by the Prime Minister of Israel. “We won't stop”

On Thursday morning, Iran-backed Lebanese Hezbollah announced that it had fired rockets at the Manara settlement in northern Israel in response to “Israeli violations” of the ceasefire in the form of the Israeli army's bombing of Lebanon, the heaviest since the beginning of the conflict, on Wednesday, killing over 250 people.

“This response will continue until the Israeli-American aggression against our country ceases,” Hezbollah said in a statement.

The Prime Minister of Israel announces regarding Lebanon: we will not stop

On Thursday evening, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu spoke. — Dear people of the North (Israel – editor's note), I am proud of you. You still stand steadfast. There is no ceasefire in Lebanon. We continue to attack Hezbollah with great force and will not stop until we restore your security, he said in a published video.

— Our significant achievements, both in Iran and in the fight against the axis of evil, have brought a historic change in Israel's position in the region. They also led to changes in our relations with countries with which we had no relations before, Netanyahu pointed out.

Later in the video, he said direct talks with Lebanon would have two goals — the disarmament of Hezbollah and “a historic and lasting peace agreement between Israel and Lebanon.”

Earlier on Thursday, Netanyahu said he had instructed his government to enter into direct talks with Lebanon to disarm Hezbollah and establish peaceful relations between the two countries. Donald Trump, in turn, told NBC that after his conversation with the Israeli prime minister, Israel would limit its actions in Lebanon and be more “restrained.”

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, in turn, asked his Pakistani counterpart Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday to help stop Israeli attacks and confirm that Lebanon is included in the ceasefire in the US and Israel's war with Iran.
