MTS has launched a base station in the sparsely populated village of Oraki, Sharypovsky district.
The construction of the new site made it possible to provide the village and its surroundings with high-speed mobile Internet and stable voice communications, as well as a section of the Sharypovo – Balakhta highway connecting the western regions of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with the M-54 Yenisei federal highway.
The village of Oraki is located on the way from Uzhur to the famous recreational area – a scattering of lakes Bolshoye, Maloe, Krugloye, Sarbagol and Elovoe, where thousands of tourists from all over the region come annually in the summer season. Mount Karatag, rising above the lakes, also attracts Khakass shamans, since it is considered one of the cult centers with preserved petroglyphs. Near the village of Oraki there are also hundreds of burial mounds and petroglyphs on Mount Kedrovaya, dating back to the early Iron Age.
MTS communications will help tourists find routes to local attractions, and villagers will be able to make remote purchases, connect digital services, watch movies and TV series without delays, study and work online.
“High-speed mobile Internet has long become a necessary condition for a full life and work, which is important not only for large cities, but also for small towns. Therefore, we continue to systematically expand and update the network infrastructure in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. We hope that both guests heading to the cascade of lakes and residents of the village of Oraki will appreciate the quality of our network and will be satisfied,” commented Sergei Yegoshin, director of MTS in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.
