The work of the Kitai-Gorod business center in Solyansky Proezd in Moscow was stopped by police. Bailiffs and witnesses came there. Access to the building has been restricted; everyone is checked and recorded at the entrance. First, there are searches and documents are confiscated. All within the framework of the case of the ex-owner of Yugra Bank Alexei Khotin, whose assets are transferred to the state. The company that owns the building is also associated with the businessman. According to Mash, today the owner of the DC should change.
Khotin himself is now in a general regime colony. In March, the court sentenced him to nine years in prison in the case of the theft of 23.6 billion rubles from the Yugra Bank along with his accomplices. He issued loans to controlled companies, knowing that the money would not be returned.
The court also decided to recover 17.3 billion rubles in favor of the affected investors. In 2017, Ugra’s license was taken away.
UPD. The business center is handed over to the Federal Property Management Agency for storage. Specialists inspect the building to check security, open closed offices and premises – lawyers, bailiffs and National Guard members also work there. Previously, the building may become the property of the Russian Federation by a court decision.
