In the Kuraginsky district of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, two high school students were brought to administrative responsibility for insulting a teacher in public using the Internet.

According to the prosecutor's office, the incident occurred in February of this year at school No. 19 in the village of Kochergino:

“The history teacher conducted the lesson as usual – she explained the new material, answered questions, and tried to captivate the 10th-graders with the subject. However, two students at that time had something else in mind – during class they secretly filmed a video in which they rudely and disparagingly showed the teacher in an unsightly light, and then posted the video on the public Internet. In a matter of hours, the video spread across local chats and public pages, causing mixed reactions. The teacher’s authority was undermined, colleagues and acquaintances discussed what they had seen, and the woman herself experienced deep moral suffering, shame and a sense of humiliation. She did not remain silent and turned to the supervisory agency for protection.”

Based on the results of the inspection, both teenagers were punished under Part 2 of Art. 5.61 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation – each received a fine of 5 thousand rubles. In addition, they were placed on preventive registration in the juvenile affairs unit; now their behavior and social circle will be monitored by inspectors.
