In Kansk, police detained a student who decided to earn extra money as a dropper.

The “collaboration” of a 17-year-old college student with scammers began with information accidentally discovered on social networks about “dust-free” remote work for young people. By clicking on the link, she contacted the messenger account, received detailed instructions and agreed to the offer.

The girl’s duties included accepting money transfers and sending them to the specified bank accounts. From each transfer, she could keep 5% as a “salary.” But just a day later she was detained by the police. During this time, 7 transactions totaling about 35 thousand rubles, stolen by the attackers from the victims, managed to go through her card. For her work she received 2 thousand rubles.

A criminal case under Part 4 of Art. 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Illegal circulation of payment funds.” The maximum penalty is imprisonment for up to 3 years.

During the investigation of the criminal case, the girl was given a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place.
