In Zheleznogorsk, Krasnoyarsk Territory, bailiffs recovered 1.3 million rubles from a private clinic for poor quality medical services.

A local resident became the victim – while providing treatment to her paid service, a medical error was made, due to which the patient received serious injuries. Subsequently, she was urgently hospitalized and an emergency complex operation was performed to save her life. What exactly happened is not disclosed, but according to the court decision, the incident could have been fatal.

To protect her rights, the woman went to court, which sided with her and decided to collect from the medical organization compensation for moral damage in the amount of 800,000 rubles and a fine of 400,000 rubles. The bailiff promptly notified the clinic of the initiation of enforcement proceedings and warned the management that if the court decision is ignored, a criminal case may be opened and enforcement measures may be taken.

“When financial obligations were not fulfilled within the period established by law, the medical organization was charged an enforcement fee in the amount of 144 thousand rubles and the total amount of the debt exceeded 1.3 million rubles. Then management realized that these enforcement measures were a reality and not a hypothetical threat. This prompted the clinic to repay the debt in full,” said the press service of the GUFSSP in the region.
