The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the former Minister of Tariff Policy of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Ananyev, accused of receiving a bribe of 5 million rubles.

According to investigators, in August 2022, Ananyev, being the Minister of Industry, Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the region, entered into a criminal conspiracy with the head of Power of Siberia LLC. For a monetary reward, the official promised to help include the company in the list of territorial network organizations and resolve other issues in its interests. The amount of the bribe was determined at 10 million rubles.
“In November 2022, Ananyev received from a company representative the first part of the amount – 5 million rubles. The transfer of money took place in the parking lot near the building of the Aviator shopping complex in Krasnoyarsk. Soon after this, the ministry issued an order to include the company in the boiler tariff system as a territorial network organization. However, later, due to the lack of a number of agreements between network companies, the cost recovery mechanism for Power of Siberia LLC did not fully work. In April 2023, the bribe-giver notified the official that he had not fulfilled the terms of the agreement and refused to hand over the remaining part of the reward—another 5 million rubles,” the prosecutor’s office said.
Ex-minister charged with taking bribes on a particularly large scale(Part 6 of Article 290 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), he himself does not admit guilt. However, on April 7, the court remanded him in custody for two months. Until June 5, 2026, Ananyev will be in a pre-trial detention center.

“When choosing this preventive measure, the court considered the investigators’ arguments that the defendant was accused of committing a particularly serious crime and could hide from the preliminary investigation authorities and the court or interfere with the criminal proceedings to be justified,” the Investigative Committee said. “Currently, the necessary investigative and procedural actions aimed at collecting and consolidating the evidence base are ongoing; searches have been carried out at the place of residence and work of the defendant, objects and documents relevant to the case have been confiscated, and witnesses have been interrogated.”
