The Krasnoyarsk Territory was among the winners of the competition to create world-class scientific centers – a laboratory will appear in the region on the development of technologies for spacecraft.
Governor Mikhail Kotyukov announced this on his social networks:
“Out of 37 projects, only three were selected, and one of them was ours. We are talking about a center in the direction of “Onboard payload,” the coordinator of which will be the Krasnoyarsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The new NTsMU will develop key technologies for spacecraft: in the field of communications, navigation and remote sensing. These areas are now used to develop the economy, to ensure security, and to create convenient services that are useful to people. This is a logical result for the region: we have already built cooperation between science and industry, there are real production tasks and a request for advanced solutions. Now this work has received additional federal support – up to 320 million rubles annually. Our young scientists have the opportunity to engage in advanced science and see the future here in the Krasnoyarsk Territory.”
The governor added that such projects are also an opportunity to attract strong specialists to the region, form new teams and strengthen scientific and technological potential.
