Three men were sent to court for rape, after the incident at the 2023 GOLD Summer School on the coast. They are accused of raping a 17-year-old girl in a hotel in the Neptun-Olimp resort, reports News.ro.
The Ialomiţa police began investigating in the fall of 2023 after the teenager arrived at the Emergency Department of the County Hospital in Slobozia, saying that she had been raped.
“On April 6, 2026, the investigations were completed, and the prosecutors of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Court of Appeal decided to send three defendants, men aged between 29 and 33 years old, to trial, in a state of freedom, for committing three crimes of rape, acts committed against a 17-year-old minor victim in a summer camp for young people organized in the Neptun-Olimp resort”, the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Bucharest Court of Appeal said in a press release on Tuesday.

According to the prosecutors, the acts took place in the premises of a hotel in the Neptun-Olimp resort, taking advantage of the impossibility of expressing their will and the vulnerability of the victims.
“On the night of 14/15.09.2023, in the time interval 23:57-00:25, the defendant AB, aged 32, while he was in the premises of a hotel in the Neptun-Olimp resort, taking advantage of the impossibility of expressing his will and the vulnerability of the victim, a minor aged 17, forced her to perform sexual acts. In the same context, in the time interval 00:31-01:04, the defendant CD, aged 29, through coercion and taking advantage of the victim's inability to defend himself, had sexual intercourse with her, against her will. Also, on 15.09.2023, in the time interval 21:14-21:50, the defendant EF, aged 33 years, while he was in the premises of the same hotel in the Neptun-Olimp resort, taking advantage of the victim's inability to defend herself and express her will, he had sexual intercourse with her, against her will,” the prosecutors say.
They explain that the NICHD hearing protocol was used for hearing the victim, characterized by maximizing open questions and ensuring non-suggestive emotional support.
The file was sent for resolution to the Mangalia Court.
Lawyer: The minor was intoxicated with alcohol in a premeditated manner
The act of rape was reported on September 16, 2023, after between September 14 and 15, 2023, the girl participated in the summer school organized by AUR that took place in the Neptun-Olimp resort.
The young woman accused that, seeing that she was in an advanced state of intoxication, the men raped her after one of them took her to a room.
The surveillance cameras in the accommodation unit captured, according to a lawyer of the victim during the proceedings, “how the minor was intoxicated with alcohol in a premeditated manner by the three”.
A year ago, the lawyer Claudia Postelnicescu, who said that she represented the girl in the past, accused the authorities of delaying the case. “This girl is deeply traumatized and her psycho-emotional state is collapsing. Why? Because she feels that she is not getting justice in any way. The monsters in her town continue to harass her, stalk her, intimidate her and humiliate her. Her mother is desperate, because she sees her sinking into depression and panic attacks and there is nothing she can do. They both feel helpless, rightly so,” he says lawyer Claudia Postelnicescu in a post published on Facebook on Wednesday.
What AUR said
AUR representatives reported in 2023 that the only incident they were aware of was the one that happened on the night of September 15 to 16, when the minor staying in a room reserved for guests was found in an advanced state of intoxication, and at the same time the young woman's parents, alerted by the way she was talking on the phone, called the police and requested the intervention of a crew on the spot.
AUR stated that the girl came to the event with her parents' consent and she herself admitted that she had consumed alcohol, being sent home the next morning, along with two companions who handed her over to her parents. “The Alliance for the Union of Romanians has made available to the police the lists of participants and the video images recorded on the hotel's cameras”, the party indicated at the time.
