Schoenherr assisted Renalfa Power Clusters (“Renalfa”) in connection with the acquisition of Horia 2, a photovoltaic plant with an installed capacity of 365 MWp, located in Arad County. Horia 2 is part of the Horia-Arad cluster, an integrated energy assembly that also brings together a battery energy storage (BESS) project, recently acquired by Renalfa in a separate transaction, as well as additional capabilities under development, aimed at shaping a landmark energy project.
Schoenherr provided legal assistance on the buyer's side throughout the transaction, from due diligence to closing, including the foreign direct investment screening procedure.

Renalfa Power Clusters is a joint venture between Vienna-based clean energy and e-mobility investment group Renalfa Solapro Group and Paris-based investment management company RGREEN INVEST through INFRAGREEN equity funds. Renalfa Solapro Group is a vertically integrated investment company active in the field of green energy and electric mobility in Eastern Europe.
