According to MP Marek Sawicki, the project is the result of resolutions adopted at the end of March by the party's Supreme Council and is to be submitted to parliamentary work soon.
Higher tax-free amount. The increase is spread over three years
According to PSL's proposal, the tax free amount would be increased in stages. In the first year of the new regulations being in force, it would amount to PLN 35,000. PLN, in the second one it would increase to PLN 45,000. PLN, and in the third year it would reach the target level of PLN 60,000. zloty.
As Sawicki emphasizes, the goal is to fulfill one of the election promises of the Civic Coalition and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Additional proposals in the project
The draft amendment is also to include other tax and social solutions. These included, among others: proposals to introduce a tax-free pension and link the 800 plus program with the tax-free amount.

PSL also announces further legislative initiatives, including a project aimed at blocking the liquidation of housing cooperatives.
Raising the tax-free amount to PLN 60,000. PLN was one of the “one hundred details” of the Civic Coalition before the 2023 elections. Prime Minister Donald Tusk has repeatedly declared that this change will be introduced by the end of the current term, although its date depends on the situation of public finances.
In turn, Finance Minister Andrzej Domański previously indicated that the full implementation of such a solution would not fit into the 2026 budget. At the same time, he assured that the ministry was working on the possibility of its implementation in the following years.
