He provided this information to journalists traveling with President Trump in Saudi Arabia an official from the White House. This was also partly confirmed by US President Donald Trump himself during a speech to the American-Saudi Investment Forum in Riyadh.
“What is very important, the talks will take place in Turkey at the end of this week, probably on Thursday, and can bring quite good results. Our people will go there. Marco (Rubio) will go there, others will also go and see if we can do it” – Trump said, thanking Saudi Arabia for its contribution to peace conversations.

On Monday, the US president said that it is possible that he would go to Turkey himself, “If he thinks it will be helpful“.
Although on Monday Trump suggested that Russian President Vladimir Putin will go to Turkey, so far the Kremlin has not determined who will represent Russia. Earlier, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelanski declared his participation, who thus responded to the attitude of Russia, which rejected the European-American request of a 30-day suspension of weapons, but proposed to start direct conversations between the two countries. Zełenski said he would be waiting in Istanbul personally for Putin.
