Ukraine struck in Novorossiysk. A fire broke out in the port

Citing the Russian authorities, Reuters reported on Monday that at least eight people, including two children, were injured as a result of a Ukrainian drone attack on Novorossiysk, and many residential buildings were destroyed.

Russia did not say whether the port of Novorossiysk, Russia's largest export point on the Black Sea, was hit.

Further attacks on Russian oil infrastructure

Novorossiysk is Russia's largest port on the Black Sea with numerous facilities for the export of raw materials and bulk goods. In early March, Ukrainian drone attacks led to the suspension of oil loading there.
Ukraine seeks to limit Russia's oil export capacity and derive extraordinary profits from the global increase in oil prices fueled by the war in the Middle East. In March, Ukrainian drones damaged oil facilities in Russia's key Baltic ports – Primorsk and Ust-Luga.

According to Bloomberg calculations, repeated drone attacks on oil ports resulted in… Russia's seaborne oil exports have fallen to their lowest level in two months. The decline came as the war in the Middle East triggered an unprecedented global oil supply crisis.
