Robert Negoiță won the case with ANAF. The court canceled a tax debt of over 105 million lei.

The panel partially annulled the decision to settle appeal no. 334 of November 17, 2021.
The imposition decision no. 867213 of December 2, 2009 and fiscal inspection report no. 867185 of November 27, 2009.

The amount in dispute
The amount canceled by the decision of May 18, 2026 is 105,429,067 lei. Of this, the VAT represents 70,880,548 lei, and the late increases related to the VAT amount to 34,548,519 lei.
The debt had been considered one of Negoiță's most famous fiscal disputes with the authorities. The amount equivalent to approximately 50 million euros.
Until now, ANAF has forcibly executed a series of assets belonging to Robert Negoiţă, in order to recover the damage caused by him to the state through tax evasion.
Several years ago, ANAF auctioned 60 apartments and 1,000 parking spaces from a residential complex owned by Negoiţă, in order to pay for the 28 million lei debt that it owes to the Romanian state. In this case, a 50% discount was applied for the auctioned properties.
