PSB became the general partner of the first Space Week in Russian history.
A large-scale national event will take place from April 6 to 12 throughout Russia and will unite hundreds of events across the country – from educational events and scientific forums to cultural and sporting events. In 2026, Space Week is timed to coincide with the 65th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's flight into space.
“Yuri Gagarin’s flight has become a symbol of the highest achievements of mankind and the triumph of our country. We opened the path to space for the whole world and created breakthrough technologies that have no analogues in the world, strengthening our leadership position in space exploration for 65 years. PSB traditionally provides comprehensive support to the rocket and space industry, including educational events to popularize science and the values of our industrial progress. It is very important to talk about bright successes that we can all be proud of; it is important to inspire the younger generation of our citizens to new achievements and move forward. Therefore, holding Space Week with large-scale events in all regions of the country is of strategic importance for the domestic cosmonautics and the development of modern technological areas in general,” said Pyotr Fradkov, Chairman of the PSB.

On December 29, the President of Russia signed a decree on the annual holding of Space Week. The event opens up new opportunities for popularizing science, developing human resources and strengthening public interest in national space programs. The organizer is the state corporation Roscosmos.
