VIDEO Drunk driver chased by police on the streets of the capital. A traffic police officer was injured

A driver was chased on the streets of Bucharest after he refused to stop at the police signals. He was intercepted and stopped in the Nicolae Caramfil boulevard area, and during the intervention he tried to run again and attacked a policeman.
According to the Capital Police, on Sunday, around 02:45, a crew of the Road Brigade signaled a driver to stop, in the bd. Beijing/North Road, but he did not comply and continued his journey.
“Considering the driver's behavior, as well as the major risk he posed to other traffic participants, the police intervened urgently, requesting the support of the crews on duty. The vehicle was intercepted and stopped in the area of Bd. Nicolae Caramfil/strada Ceasorniculiu. During the intervention, the driver tried to evade again, a circumstance in which he ran into a policeman, aged 38”, says The Capital Police.
The policeman was hit on the hand with the mirror, being taken to the hospital.
“The police acted firmly and professionally, proceeding to extract the man from the car and immobilize him, in compliance with the legal provisions, thus succeeding in removing a state of imminent danger”, states the Capital Police.
After the checks, it was established that he is a 20-year-old man. He was tested with the alcohol test device, resulting in a value of 0.43 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air, and was then taken to the National Institute of Forensic Medicine “Mina Minovici”, for the collection of biological samples.
Later, the man was taken to the headquarters of the Road Brigade, being investigated under the supervision of the Prosecutor's Office attached to the 1st District Court.
