MM Stoica (60 years old), the official from FCSB. he commented the outcome of the FRF elections on Wednesday, won without much trouble by the same Răzvan Burleanu (41 years old). The current president won the fourth consecutive mandate, being voted by 258 of the 263 members present at the General Assembly. Ilie Drăgan, his opponent, only got 5 votes.
FCSB was one of the teams that voted for Drăgan, as the boss announced and confirmed Mihai Stoicathe one who spoke of several “embarrassing phases” that took place at Casa Fotbalului.
Mihai Stoica was present at the General Assembly held at Casa Fotbalului: “That was their only mistake”
The president of the CA from FCSB is of the opinion that the only mistake of the current leadership was that it did not allow Drăgan to give his speech, as happened in the case of Burleanu.
A scandal of great proportions followed, the counter-candidate being held with difficulty by the current president's bodyguards.
“What can I say, I think they made one mistake. They should have let Ilie Drăgan speak, not cut off his microphone. There were some awkward phases afterwards. That (no – Dragan) he was screaming over there, at one point the press was filming him, he couldn't be heard anymore.
One told him to start all over again, the poor guy was out of his mind. It wasn't okay. Otherwise, what can I say. Gigi wanted to go, I told him “let me sacrifice myself”.
And we will go to the courts, because we consider that we are treated with a gross lack of respect. This is what I was talking about with the president of the FRF before the General Assembly, that we are not against the U21 rule, which can be beneficial.
We are against the way it is applied. We are forced to line up a weaker side than the best side, in our opinion, not only us, but all the teams that play in European cups.
I used to tell him that it is a very weak generation. When the eligible were those born after January 1, 1998, we had matches with 9 players on the field, the generation of Man, Moruțan.
Now I also spoke with Gabriel Bodescu and Burleanu, in order to do a professional thing we must have a position occupied by three valuable U21 players. We don't have, because they are not”, explained MM Stoica, on the show “Fotbal Show”, from Prima Sport.
Răzvan Burleanu leads the Romanian Football Federation since March 5, 2014, he was later re-elected on April 18, 2018, April 12, 2022 and March 18, 2026.
