Four drones attacked the Bazurgan oil field in the Maysan province located on the border with Iran on Saturday, Reuters reported, adding that warehouses were destroyed.

The Kurdish news website Shafaq said, citing a local security source, that the drones attacking the field were of “unknown origin.”
The attack was “targeted at foreign companies operating in the field” – the portal found out. There were only material losses, no human casualties, Shafaq emphasized.
The Maysan province located in the southeast is inhabited mainly by Shiite Arabs, as well as a small minority of Shiite Kurds and even smaller numbers of Mandaeans (a Gnostic religious group that recognizes John the Baptist as the last of the prophets – PAP) and Christians. (PAP)
