Pintilii left FCSB at the end of the regular season, along with the previous head coach, Elias Charalambous (45).
Mihai Pintilii, after Botoșani – FCSB 3-2: “It's hard when you make some mistakes like this with the defenders and they give you a goal out of nowhere”
The former midfielder of the red-blues and the national team spoke about the mistakes that cost the champion and about the difficulties encountered during the match:
“It's hard when you make mistakes like that with the defenders and they give you a goal out of nowhere. Yes, as opportunities, hats off, they had the initiative, but these mistakes are too big and it's hard to motivate yourself afterwards. I don't know, it's hard for me to comment, it's hard.
Offensively they suffered a lot. You didn't produce anything, you didn't have clear opportunities to hope for more, to say “yes, sir, we deserved something”. Botoșani wanted, they had 7 shots on goal and 3 crossbars. You scored from the penalty and Olaru's execution,” said Pintilii on the “Fotbal Show” broadcast on Prima Sport.
Mihai Pintilii: “Here I thought Rădoi could make a change and I hope he does”
Asked what Mirel Rădoi could have improved during his time at FCSB, Pintilii explained:
“I would have liked it to be different morally, or in terms of attitude. You don't have time to teach them football or whatever you want to teach them now, in two weeks, you don't have time. If you had six months, yes, but you reverted back to the old system. It's hard to change something. You can walk on the psyche and the attitude.
Here I thought Rădoi could make a change and I hope he does. It probably doesn't reach the players and it doesn't show on the field. That's where the attitude should be seen, not in training.”
