Mircea Lucescu is going through hard times, after at the end of last week he got sick and fainted in the training camp of the national team, and today he suffered an acute heart attack, just as he was preparing to be discharged. The former coach's medical problems began at the technical meeting after the match against Turkey, when he was analyzing the lost game in Istanbul.

The 80-year-old coach sat down in a fixed chair after re-watching the goal scored by the Turks and fell into a state of unconsciousness. He immediately received help from the national doctor, so that he was then transported to the hospital. Mircea Lucescu recovered and declared that he was hurt because of the upset caused by the opponents' goal phase, without giving any other details. Then, information appeared according to which not only the revisiting of that moment irritated him beyond measure, but also the attitude and the way in which those involved, Andrei Rațiu and Dennis Man, responded to him.

“It seems that he got very angry. From what I understood, he was analyzing the match against Turkey and discussing the phase of the conceded goal. And the answers of the two players involved, Man and Rațiu, did not satisfy him, and even bothered him. Man was adjusting his leggings, and Rațiu stepped in to defend. It seems that the answers were not what Lucescu expected, he even felt disturbed by the way they answered him the two players and he simply passed out“, revealed the journalist Ovidiu Ioanițoaia after the incident in the national training camp.
The players reacted immediately, saying that the information is not true and that no one comments when Mircea Lucescu speaks. I just want to say that. Since Mister came to the national team, none of the players answered him during a training session. Not even a word. Whether by his way of speaking, he said that I was guilty of a goal or not, not a single player uttered a word at Mister's match analysis meetings. The news that has come out may affect the two players that have been mentioned and may mislead a country. Or people can think that what happened is because of them, because that's how it appears from that news. It's totally false.”
Mircea Lucescu suffered a heart attack today, so he will remain hospitalized, under the supervision of specialists. “During the morning, the patient suffered an acute myocardial infarction. He was taken in urgently and promptly benefited from the necessary medical and therapeutic interventions, according to the protocols in force. Currently, his condition is stable, under close specialist monitoring. The patient remains hospitalized in the Cardiology Department, where he receives appropriate medical care”announced the representatives of the University Hospital, the institution that cares for the legendary football coach.
