The head of the Investigative Committee will be reported on the first accident in Krasnoyarsk involving children on an electric scooter (video)

Traffic police of KrasnoyarskThe first accident this season involving children on an electric scooter was registered: a 10-year-old boy and his friend fell under a bus.

It all happened on March 30th on the street Svetlogorskaya. The schoolchildren were driving along the sidewalk, and when they began to cross the roadway at a pedestrian crossing, they collided with a bus that was moving at a traffic light.

As a result of the accident, one of the children was injured and was hospitalized. The second child ran away from the scene of the accident.

“It was established that the electric scooter was rented through an account linked to the email of the father of one of the minors. Payment was also made from his bank card. The scooter account is currently suspended. The rental company is considering the possibility of imposing a fine of 30,000 rubles for violating the terms of the contract, namely for transferring control of the scooter to a minor,” the traffic police said.

Upon injury to a child as a result of an incident with a scooter ininitiated a criminal case under Art. 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (provision of services that do not meet safety requirements). The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the Main Investigation Department for the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexey Eremin, to submit a report on the progress of the investigation and the established circumstances.
