Here are the 10 best companies on the WSE

Although Creotech Instruments shares did not break into the top ten in 2025 in terms of rate of return, analysts, brokers and fund managers had no doubts: it was the best company on the WSE. Their assessment concerned the competences of the management board, relations with investors, innovation, development prospects and achievements last year.

In the ranking prepared by PB for 27 years, it is rare for a company to achieve such a high overall score. 95.2 points is 8 points more than received by XTB, last year's winner. The score was the highest in the “Innovation” category (100 points out of 100) and almost perfect in the “Success in 2025” category. (98.4 points) and “Competences of the management board” (96.83 points). In terms of development prospects, Bioceltix was rated equally high, only market experts would have expected a little more from the relations with the space company's investors.

The company led by Grzegorz Brona quickly increased its capitalization, first to PLN 1 billion, and later even to PLN 2 billion. Its shares, sold a year ago, sold like hot cakes, and those who bought them then for PLN 160 can now enjoy huge profits.

Cyber_Folks also issued shares last year, and the price close to the market price was the result of the trust that the management managed to build and faith in the development prospects. Already at the beginning of this year, this faith was slightly shaken, but analysts believe that artificial intelligence will be the group's weapon, not a technology that will crumble its foundations.

Cyber_Folks took second place on the podium of the GSR ranking for the third time in a row, while Bioceltix took third place for the second time.

Good friends at the top of the rankings

The top ten of the ranking for 2025 include three companies that were at the top of the ranking for 2024. In addition to cyber_Folks and Bioceltix, there is also Synektik. The company led by Cezary Kozanecki has never stood on the podium, but it has been close to it for four years. Regularly distinguished companies also include: Benefit Systems and Ryvu Therapeutics, Diagnostyka received high marks already in its debut year on the stock exchange, and the second ten of the list includes winners from previous years, such as XTB, LPP and CD Projekt. You need to look a little further for companies with state treasury participation. Tauron was classified the highest (26th place), and PKO BP is also quite high (28th place), but some companies – such as JSW or Grupa Azoty – occupy the lower parts of the table. The fact is, however, that since the change of the ruling team in 2023, the ratings of national champions have generally gone up, also in the “Competences of the management board” category.

More about the Listed Company of the Year ranking>>

Although the PB ranking is not a clear guide for investors as to which companies are worth investing in, its undeniable advantage is that in the past it was almost never won by stars of one season. The only inglorious exceptions include Bioton, which conquered the stock exchange in 2005. The biotechnology company tempted with development prospects in an industry that was new for investors at that time, but it quickly turned out that global expansion was not that easy. Let's hope Creotech doesn't get carried away by successes and repeat this path, and treat the victory in the GSR ranking as an obligation to the entire capital market.

How the Listed Company of the Year ranking is created

The Puls Biznesu Stock Exchange Company of the Year is selected by specialists in the field of capital markets: stock exchange analysts, brokers and fund managers. The companies were assessed during a special online survey, in which the companies to be assessed were assigned according to the professional competences of the respondents. The survey was active from February 19 to March 11, 2026. It was completed by 80 people.
The object of the assessment were companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and included in the WIG20, mWIG40 and sWIG80 indices (as at the end of November 2025). The survey participant assessed from several to several dozen companies in terms of management competences, relations with investors, innovation of products and services, development prospects and broadly understood success in 2025.

In each category, grades were awarded on a 7-point scale according to the principle: the more favorable the grade, the greater the number of points awarded. The survey results were ranked according to the average rating value. For greater clarity, the results were converted to a 100-point scale, which means that the maximum score could be 100 points.

The ranking included companies that were rated by at least three experts. In the case of the same number of points in partial rankings, the higher overall score determined the order. The ranking includes companies that were rated by at least three people.
