The press service of the regional prosecutor's office recalled that the incident occurred in the fall of 2024 in the village of Dikson. A shift worker from the Irkutsk region worked as a plasma cutting machine operator at the acceptance point of one of the construction companies.

“A colleague flew off duty, but he was detained at Norilsk airport. In the luggage are those same brass knuckles. The examination confirmed: a homemade edged weapon with shock-crushing action. Shift worker confessed: the colleague was simply an employee of the same company, there were not even contacts,” clarified by the supervisory authority.

The court recognized man guilty of illegal manufacturing of bladed weapons (Part 4 of Article 223 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and sentenced to 1 year 3 months of correctional labor with the withholding of 5% of state income from wages.
