Ciprian Marica (39 years old), a minority shareholder of Farul Constanța, spoke about the withdrawal of Gheorghe Hagi (60 years) from the position of coach of the team.

Constanța Lighthouse had a performance under expectations in the recently completed championship. The Constans were ranked only on the 11th place in the standings, writes Golazo.ro.

Ciprian Marica, one of the shareholders at Farul Constanța, spoke about the team situation after the weakest season from the merger with Viitorul, from 2021.

He was asked if Gică Hagi would withdraw from the technical management of the club and offered details about what was going to be on the team.

  • “Let's not rush to the statements, to wait a little longer. I do not know, we see. Some things will change in the near future. There will be restructuring. There will be changes, you will see. I mean the lot, first of all.
  • I talked to Gică before the last stages and he felt tired, this is the truth. I have never discussed after. (…) Gică has always found resources to return, to take it from the end, “said Ciprian Marica for Digisport.ro.

The results of this year could cause Hagi to accept a new adventure. The president of the club, Gică Popescu, hopes that this will not happen.

  • “Gică always has offers, believe me what I tell you. It's hard to keep. Every year we have the same discussions with him, please remain. It's the club that Gică did, which he loves so much.
  • “Together we hope to have a much better year than the one we ended,” said Gică Popescu last week, quoted by orange.ro.
