Six police officers died in Thailand after they crashed by plane at sea on Friday, during a testing flight from paratroopers, the police said, according to the BBC.
The small aircraft was observed while falling into the area of the Cha-Am district, a coastal tourist area located about 130 kilometers southwest by Bangkok.
Five of the police officers who were aboard the plane died on the spot, and a sixth died at the hospital, the Thai Royal Police said in a Facebook statement.
The authorities analyze the black box of the plane to determine the cause of the plane event.
The local press reported that the plane hit the water about 100 meters from the shore. In the images circulating on social networks, people who had entered the sea can be observed and they were heading to the accident site.

The victims are three pilots, an engineer and two mechanics, the police confirmed.
“The Thai Royal Police expresses their sincere condolence for the brave officers who have lost their lives,” the statement said.
Kitrak Phanphet, head of the police, said the initial investigations showed that the plane was heading for houses, but the pilots managed to handle it to the sea so that there were no other victims.
