A tornado funnel was caught on Saturday in the sky of Cernetu, Teleorman county. The phenomenon was captured by locals in a video published by Meteoplus, on the Facebook page.
The air vortex descended from a storm cloud, according to images published by Meteoplus. The footage quickly went viral: About three hours after it was posted, it had attracted nearly 400,000 views and hundreds of comments, some ironic.
“Wow. What a big tornado,” one person commented.
“It's from Dragnea,” one person commented ironically.
“Because of Bolojan, he came to take everything!”, another netizen wrote jokingly.
“Don't panic! It's Dragnea, she called Grindeanu to urgently come to Bucharest with the spaceship,” added another person.
Some even questioned the authenticity of the images. “What do you have? It's AI, the trees have leaves on them!” commented one person.
Tornado is a column of air, visible in the form of a funnel. It occurs when warm, moist air meets cold, dry air, creating intense atmospheric instability.
Unlike a cyclone or hurricane, which covers hundreds of kilometers, the tornado is a localized storm, and in some cases can be very violent at the point of impact.
