Two battered children obtained protective orders against their own parents. The father was detained for 24 hours

Two parents from Constanța received a temporary protection order and are no longer allowed to approach their own children within 100 meters after they were accused of beating them. The two minors were removed from the family and placed in a protection center, according to the Constanța County Police Inspectorate (IPJ).
The police were alerted on the evening of March 27, around 9:30 p.m., about the fact that two minors, aged 12 and 16, had been beaten by their parents. Following the checks, the law enforcement officials confirmed the reports and identified the parents, a 47-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman.
The assaults would have taken place between March 25-26, when the father would have hit the two children. Following the risk assessment, the police determined that there was an imminent danger to the safety of the minors, which is why they issued a provisional protection order, Replica Online reports.
Thus, parents are obliged to keep a minimum distance of 100 meters from children. In parallel, the police collaborated with the representatives of the General Directorate of Social Assistance and Child Protection Constanța, and the minors were removed from the family environment and placed in a protection center.
At the same time, the father was detained for 24 hours and taken to the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center. It is to be presented to the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Constanța Court, with legal proposals.
“On Saturday, March 28 this year, it will be presented to the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Constanța Court, with appropriate proposals”, sent IPJ Constanța.
Investigations continue to establish exactly the circumstances in which the facts occurred.
