FRF sheds light on the alleged fight in the national team's locker room, after the end of the match against Turkey

After the Turkey – Romania 1-0 match, journalists from Istanbul revealed that the locker room of the tricolors exploded, Florin Tănase throwing a chair at a teammate and that the intervention of the other players in the locker room, as well as the security personnel, was needed. The Romanian Football Federation issued a statement in the public space by which it categorically denies the accusations made by journalists from Turkey, claiming that not even a fly was heard in the dressing room.

“Following the speculations that recently appeared in the public space, we want to clarify the situation regarding the atmosphere in the national team's locker room after the match in Istanbul. We categorically deny the information spread in the Turkish press and picked up by Romanian journalists, according to which Florin Tănase was involved in some conflict with one of his colleagues! The news has no foundation, being just a total invention!
The Istanbul failure was a difficult time for everyone, but the group's reaction was one of solidarity, not division. After the final whistle, an oppressive silence and deep sadness prevailed in the dressing room. The players were affected by the resultbeing aware of the importance of the match. The selector Mircea Lucescu spoke to the tricolors for a few minutes, as happens after every game. There were no individual complaints or altercations between our players.”FRF transmitted on the communication channels.
“Lie you crazy people!”
And Răzvan Marin supported the official version: “Not much was said. We tried to motivate ourselves, to move forward. I don't think now is the time to reproach ourselves for things, surely everyone knows what and where they made a mistake. In the dressing room, the selector spoke a little with us. We are sorry for what happened, it is not easy”stated one of the captains of the national team.
For his part, Florin Tănase, the one accused by the Turks of causing a scandal, was asked by the FCSB manager, Mihai Stoica, through an SMS: “You throw chairs at people? Are you that violent?”.
The captain of the champion replied: “Lie, crazy people!”.
