ANM alert: Orange snow code in four counties, Saturday / Yellow code in three other counties

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) issued, on Saturday morning, two nowcasting warnings, valid until 12:00, of Code Orange for snow and strong wind in the mountain areas, above 1,800 m, in the counties of Braşov, Argeş, Prahova and Dâmboviţa, reports Agerpres.

According to meteorologists, in the mentioned areas there will be snowfall accompanied by strong wind with a gust speed of 85-120 km/h, which causes a decrease in visibility below 50 m.

Also, ANM issued, on Saturday morning, two nowcasting warnings, valid until 12:00, of Yellow Code of snow and strong wind in the mountain areas, at over 1,800 m, in the counties of Maramureş, Bistriţa-Năsăud and Cluj.

According to the meteorologists, in the mentioned areas there will be snowfall accompanied by strong wind with a gust speed of 70-90 km/h, which causes a decrease in visibility below 100 m.

The warnings of immediate dangerous phenomena (nowcasting) are issued for a maximum period of six hours, states ANM.

The new nowcasting alerts come after meteorologists on Friday morning issued three yellow code alerts for quantitatively significant precipitation, strong wind and blizzard snow in the mountain area, valid for many counties in the country, until March 30.

Bucharest also entered Friday morning under a yellow code of quantitatively significant rains that will be valid until the first part of Monday.
