The US Democratic Party, which seems paralyzed after Donald Trump's return to power will be equipped with a “war office” that will have the main mission to react “in real time” to the “Lies” of the Trump Administration, AFP reports.
“While Donald Trump continues to apply his policies that raise prices, destroy jobs and ruin lives, he also continues to lie,” accused the new leader of the Democratic Party, Ken Martin, in a statement published on Monday, according to Agerpres.
In this context, the Democratic Party “doubles its efforts to provide Americans with real facts and accurate information about the impact of this policy,” he added.
The party will thus set up a “war room” responsible for the daily dissemination of a “central message” that will be transmitted on the social networks by the influences, beyond its traditional voices.
In an interview for the Washington Post, Martin acknowledged that the Republican party has understood that most Americans get their information through mobile phones.
“For three and a half years, they spent their time putting (former president) Joe Biden and Democrats without really resisting,” he said. “They put us a label before we have time to introduce ourselves,” he said.
Democrats will also intensify the monitoring of the media “to ensure that any great lie spoken during a speech, interview or message on social networks by Trump or its allies is counteracted in real time,” the statement said.
The announcement of the Democrats takes place two days after the demonstrations that brought together tens of thousands of people on Saturday against the Trump administration in the big cities in the country.
