Nicușor Dan won the presidential election with an advance of almost 830,000 votes in front of George Simion

Nicușor Dan obtained 53.6% of the votes expressed by the Romanians, shows the final results, after the counting of all the votes. The independent presidential candidate overturned George Simion's advance in the first round, managing a unique return to the history of Romania. E
All the votes were counted. According to official data on the AEP website, there were a total of 11,507,695 votes.
Of these, 53.6% were to Nicușor Dan. The independent candidate for the presidential elections became president, after being voted by 6,168,642 million Romanians.
George Simion obtained 46.41% of the votes, respectively 5,339,053 million votes.
The direction between the two candidates is 829,589 votes.

How did the votes be divided into the diaspora
In the diaspora, George Simion had 191,557 votes in addition to Nicușor Dan. It took a total of 55.86% of the votes expressed by Romanians from abroad – 912,553 votes. Nicușor Dan obtained 44.14% of the votes in the diaspora – 720,996 votes.
