
In early March, The Wall Street Journal was one of the first to report that Iran is copying Russian tactics of drone attacks in the Gulf countries. And on March 5, FT drew a parallel between the launches of Iranian Shahed drones in the Persian Gulf and attacks on coastal Odessa.
Subsequently the agency Bloomberg, citing U.S. intelligence sources, reported that in addition to drone targeting strategies, Russia is providing Iran with various types of intelligence information, including satellite imagery.
On March 11, US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff said that Putin denied transferring information to Tehran during conversation with Trump.
On the same day, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, in an interview with Kaylin Robertson, said that Russia began supporting the Iranian regime with drones and air defense systems and will probably help with missiles as well.
