The speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory gave a tour of the parliament to cosmonaut Kirill Peskov

Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Alexey Dodatko met with cosmonaut Kirill Peskov and invited schoolchildren who were passionate about science and creativity to meet with him.

Alexey Dodatko gave the guests a tour of the building of the Legislative Assembly. Afterwards, tea drinking and a conversation with the children took place in an informal setting. Kirill Peskov answered their questions. Schoolchildren asked about preparation for the flight, weightlessness, daily routine, life on the ISS, prospects for lunar exploration, favorite book, adaptation after return.

“At meetings they always ask a lot of different questions. This is not surprising. Space is a multifaceted topic, and you can talk about it endlessly; I try to tell it as completely and clearly as possible. I’m glad to meet the guys, glad to visit my native land and share my impressions. It is important for me if my example inspires someone, even if not to fly into space, but to some other achievements. I would like to note that now schoolchildren have great opportunities for education and technical creativity; there are modern centers with good equipment. So the main thing is to set a goal and strive for it,” said Kirill Peskov.

Separately, he noted the beauty of our region, opportunities for tourism and an active lifestyle, and the cosmonaut recommended physical education to everyone, regardless of profession.

“Kirill Peskov is an inspiring example for our boys and girls who are graduating from school and are determined in life. This is especially important for our region, which is directly connected with space industry technologies. Our fellow countryman, a graduate of the Nazarovskaya school, dreamed of the sky and space, believed in himself and made his dreams come true. The conversation turned out to be interesting and informative; Kirill is an open guy and talks fascinatingly about his flight and impressions. It’s nice that such a meeting with schoolchildren took place on the site of the regional parliament. I am sure that the guys will remember this conversation,” said Chairman of the Legislative Assembly Alexey Dodatko.

The cosmonaut’s ability to win over his interlocutors was also noted by the young participants of the meeting. The guys emphasized that it was very easy to communicate with the famous fellow countryman: “Simple, open, with humor. He's just like us.”

The meeting with Kirill Peskov took place with the support of Reshetnev University; the cosmonaut has long-standing friendly and partnership relations with this university.
