Sorin Grindeanu, critics of the governing partners: “I saw the marshmallows sent by PNL representatives to AUR”

Things are not working properly in the governing coalition, PSD president Sorin Grindeanu accused in a press statement on Wednesday at the end of the tensions regarding the adoption of the fuel ordinance.
Asked about Monday's meetings of the coalition partners, in which PNL and USR decided that they will no longer collaborate with PSD if it brings down the current government through a motion together with AUR, Grindeanu accused that PNL are the ones looking for a rapprochement with George Simion's formation.
“In the last 24 hours I have seen the marshmallows sent by PNL representatives to AUR. I do not impose the internal agenda on anyone. We do things for ourselves. We are concerned with fuel issues, there are things that are important for Romanians beyond what the PSD, PNL, USR want. I cannot allow myself to give lessons to others as I will not allow them to give lessons”, said Grindeanu.
PSD announced on Monday that the internal referendum on remaining in government, announced since December, will take place on April 20.
“It is clear to everyone that at the government level things are not working as they should. We have nothing personal with Ilie Bolojan. Things could work even better. I said that economic recovery measures are needed, I said that if we only cut we will go into recession, these show beyond the people, a management. If we have things to criticize, they are related to the management. This does not mean that we do not do our self-evaluation”, declared the PSD president.
He also accused that he did not receive any invitation from the prime minister for a new meeting of the government coalition.
The PSD referendum
The PSD leadership decided on Monday that the internal consultation that Sorin Grindeanu has been talking about since the end of December will take place on April 20.
It is an internal referendum, through which party members will be asked if they want PSD to remain in government and if so, in what form – with or without Ilie Bolojan, with or without USR.
However, the exact questions for this consultation have yet to be determined.
