Krasnoyarsk experts found E. coli and mold in dairy products

March 25 11:20

Specialists from the Krasnoyarsk branch of the CSC AIC tested 80 samples of dairy products and shared the results.

Experts examined milk, butter, sour cream, yogurt, kefir and other products. They looked for GMOs, salmonella, antibiotics, toxic elements, pesticides, and radionuclides.

In 13 samples, violations were detected in the fatty acid composition and quality indicators – the mass fraction of protein and fat. Four samples failed testing for color, smell, taste and consistency. This may indicate a violation of technology, the use of low-quality raw materials or falsification.

In 31 samples, a discrepancy was found in microbiological indicators: coliform bacteria, exceeding the norms for the content of yeast and mold. No pathogenic microflora was found in the samples.

Information about violations was entered into the VESTA laboratory research accounting system.
