In Krasnoyarsk, a lady driver ignored the red traffic light signal and almost hit pedestrians. This was reported to the State Traffic Inspectorate.

While monitoring social networks, traffic police regiment officers found a video recording a gross violation of traffic rules on Lineinaya Street. The footage shows how the driver of a Hyundai car ignores the red traffic light and drives through a busy pedestrian crossing at the moment when children are crossing the road.

Thanks to the prompt work of traffic police officers, the identity of the offender was quickly established. She turned out to be a 32-year-old woman. When communicating with the inspectors, the lady driver admitted her guilt and expressed sincere repentance for the violation.

However, law enforcement officers found out that within a year the woman had already been brought to administrative responsibility for a similar violation. As a result, material was collected under Part 3 of Art. 12.12 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (repeated driving through a prohibiting traffic light signal or prohibiting gesture of a traffic controller). Now the owner of the foreign car faces a fine of 7,500 rubles.

The State Traffic Inspectorate noted that monitoring of social networks will continue, and also called on drivers to follow traffic rules, be responsible, attentive and not endanger themselves and others.

“Road safety is the common task of every traffic participant,” the traffic police emphasized.
