In Krasnoyarsk, private houses were flooded in Pokrovka.

As the mayor of the city, Sergei Vereshchagin, reported on his social networks, in Pokrovka water comes to the surface at several points in the private sector at once. The mayor stopped by one of them on Vodyannikov Street before an open meeting with Krasnoyarsk residents in the Central District.

“Households are drowning locally – basements, garages, courtyards. In winter, a massive layer of ice forms in them, as well as on the street. Ground subsidence is visible. Utility workers checked water supply networks for breaks. In a number of places the leaks were fixed, but this did not help. The cause of flooding cannot be ruled out due to groundwater. More than 150 houses are at risk. Technical solutions for the diversion have been previously worked out. The amount for the budget is serious, it is necessary to obtain confirmation of the water source,” noted Sergei Vereshchagin.

The head of Krasnoyarsk also added that he ordered to attract specialists and conduct an examination. When they receive the conclusion, a decision will be made on how to proceed. Similar flooding situations are now being dealt with in other areas of the city.
