According to the medical center, at first he called 103 dispatchers several times with threats.
“I’ll come to Gavannaya or Vorobyov now, and I’ll finish you right now. You understand or not, you won’t get home,” the unknown man said on the phone.
When the dispatcher warned about a possible call to the police, he replied that he did not care.
As the doctor noted in the released video, team No. 26 received a call to the patient due to “fainting, impaired consciousness and breathing problems.” After arriving, the man locked the paramedics in the apartment. The doctors maintained constant contact with the operational dispatch service and the management of disaster medicine, who organized the call of law enforcement officers.
The team remained in the apartment for more than an hour without the right to leave. According to the paramedics, the man made threats: “They think that if they called the police, it will save them.”
Police, security services and a psychiatric team arrived at the scene. Through joint action it was possible to free the brigade.
The center emphasized that doctors often face aggression and attacks while performing their duties.
“An outrageous incident occurred… A closed door. Threats to a doctor and a paramedic. Threats of “lynching” and being sent to “zero” and mobilization… The law on increasing liability for attacks on doctors has not been adopted for years. And this gives rise to impunity,” the medical center noted.
