“During the Government meeting today, I asked for the dismissal of the directors from Salrom and the Romanian waters. It's unacceptable what happened yesterday at Praid! While, on the spot, representatives of ministries, international experts, emergency authorities and local authorities work to protect the population and find the best solutions for managing mining disaster, the government has given immediate financial support for those living in tourism, and civilian organizations and simple people started to help you.
Meanwhile, the two companies quarrel with each other, ignore the decisions of the experts, leave tens of thousands of people without water and aggravate the damage caused to the environment“, Said Tanczos Barna, on Thursday, in a Facebook post.
He stressed that in the management of the two companies must be called people who can manage the situation.
“This irresponsibility cannot remain without consequences – those who have made a liability must be held. Therefore, I asked the Government colleagues today to take the necessary measures for the directors of the two companies to be dismissed immediately and to be appointed in their place people who can keep the situation under control. Praid will not be left alone – we will not allow anyone to endanger the safety of the inhabitants, the water supply and the natural resources of the region! ”, concluded Tanczos.
The president of the Harghita County Council, Bíró Barna-Botond, said on Wednesday evening, for Agerpres, that the company contracted by Salrom, would have torn down the two dams built on the recommendations of the international experts and diverted the stream into a Bypass that had no impermeability, and the water that crossed the Salina Măt.
