He is now waiting for his students to get revenge in the duel with FCSB, the first after the break for the action of the national team.
FC Botoșani scored in the away game from Sibiu, Chițu, Buș and Albu being the three scorers of the hosts, who reach the play-off spot after Sunday's success.
The Moldovan technician took the blame for this failure, which he described as a “humiliation”, “a cold, ice shower”, and is looking forward to the meeting with FCSB, the champion who reached the play-out.

“When you play with big teams, you come from the wedding and play, you know how it is. As a coach, it is much easier for you to prepare for matches with important teams. “Unfortunately, an ice cold shower, not just cold. It's all my fault, I take it. Okay, I take it… It's inappropriate to say it, but it's only my fault because I couldn't keep them connected after the nice win at home with Slobozia.
I've had this problem before (not with players at the end of their contracts who would manage). The clubs respect the contracts and it would be good for the players to do it too, at least from a human point of view, to give everything until the last day.
We hardly find such players. When the club doesn't give you continuity, you think you don't have to get injured. I repeat, it's not their fault, it's my fault for today. We didn't keep them grounded and connected to the reality of the play-out.
I hope that during this international break we can fix what happened. Cold shower is an understatement. It's a humiliation. It hurts a lot. I, on the other hand, am ambitious, I don't like to lose”, said the technician from FC Botoșani, after the match.
