Round number 17 of the Super League closes on Monday evening, in Botoșani, where the Moldovans receive the visit of Dinamo, a team in 3rd place, just two points behind Leo Grozavu's team, a match that will start at 20:30.
Before the duel, the coach of the Botošan players, Leo Grozavu (58 years old), together with the central defender George Miron (31 years old), prefaced the game and talked about the stakes of the confrontation.
Leo Grozavu: “Dinamo is in shape, homogeneous, but we are also motivated”
The Moldovan technician believes that the duel with Dinamo is extremely important, especially from the perspective of the ranking, but refuses to dramatize:
“It's an important game like all the others. No more points are given for a match with Dinamobut he obviously has a stake, considering they're behind us.
It's a fit, homogeneous team with a coach who knows very well what's going on and who does a very good job.”
Groazavu also recalled the duel directly from the spring:
“We saw moments from the spring game and I think we could have won it if we were more careful. Dinamo didn't create chances, but that's… maybe in the next game. It will be an interesting game, with quality, but we also showed that. It's important to be in the moment.”
Coach warns: “Fierce duels await us. We need to collect points before the short break”
The coach warns that the period is coming when all the teams are aiming for the best possible end of the year:
“Fierce duels are coming, points at stake, tough matches at home. All teams are more motivated against us because we are in the first part of the standings. Don't surprise anyone anymore, the stakes are high. The break will be short, the preparation will be the same, we have to accumulate points now.”
Clear message to supporters: “During the match, the players must be supported”
Grozavu sent a message to the Botošan fans:
“The home crowd must have an important input. At the end they can express their displeasure or applaud, but during the game the supporter's obligation is to support the team. It's like that everywhere, the encouragement energizes the players.”
The technician also emphasizes the very good course of the team at home:
“We showed at home that we are strong, we have to keep this aura of invincibility as long as possible. There are many things to improve, but compared to the last seasons, the boys are above expectations. Even above mine”, said Leo Grozavu, FC Botoșani team technician”.
George Miron: “We have to show the same thing we have shown at home so far”
In the end, central defender George Miron completed the coach's analysis, emphasizing the opponent's good form:
“I don't know if we can talk about a favorite. Dinamo comes after two positive results, they score, they have a stable 11 and a coach who implemented a pleasant and efficient game for them. It will be difficult, but we have to show what we have shown at home so far.”
Everyone knows what got us here: the attitude, the aggressiveness, the compactness. We don't do calculations, we only think about the next game. I hope we win it and achieve our goal.”
It's my job to unite the dressing room, to convey the determination that is needed. We are playing with a team with tradition, and the input of the public will be very important. I don't even worry we played with smaller teams and the stadium was almost full.
– George Miron, the captain of the Moldovans.
