VIDEO Video of Justin Timberlake arrested in 2024, released: “It's very difficult, I can't do it!”

The New York police have released the video recordings from the night of Justin Timberlake's arrest, despite the American star's attempts to block their broadcast through legal means, according to The Guardian.

Footage captured by police officers on the night of June 18, 2024, in Sag Harbor, Hamptons, shows Timberlake visibly struggling to pass field sobriety tests.

He was pulled over by law enforcement after running a stop sign and failing to maintain his lane, according to the Sag Harbor police report.

In the video, the artist can be seen trying to walk the straight line drawn by the police, at which point he succumbs to the difficulty of the exercise: “It's very difficult … I can't do it, even under normal conditions,” Timberlake complained.

In a moment that went viral, the policeman, who appeared not to recognize the famous NSync member, asked him what he did for a living.

“I'm on a world tour. It's hard to explain… I'm Justin Timberlake,” replied the musician. The policeman replied curtly: “Are you Justin Timberlake? Do you have your license?”

The climax of the shoot captures Timberlake in the backseat of the police car, asking in bewilderment, “Why are you arresting me?” The artist refused a breathalyzer test three times on the night of his arrest, claiming he had only consumed “one martini”.

In September 2024, about three months after the incident, Justin Timberlake pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and was sentenced to pay a fine and community service.

The release of the footage comes after an intense legal battle. Although Timberlake's lawyers initially tried to block the footage, claiming it would cause “serious and irreparable damage” to his reputation, they eventually agreed to release a censored version.
