— We do not rule out the tax scenario. I think that Minister Domański will announce it directly. We will be making these decisions in the next dozen or so days, but we can see today that the worst-case scenario is being realized across the entire Middle East, Motyka said.
Motyka also pointed out that Poland has already taken steps to limit the effects of the crisis. He pointed out that in the matter of fuels, it has already been possible to: reduce Orlen's margin, prepare appropriate reserves and secure supplies.
He added, however, that the escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, including attacks on refineries, affects the availability of fuel in Asia and Europe, which translates into an increase in prices.

Diversification of gas supplies and market stability
The Minister of Energy also referred to the issue of gas supplies, including imports from Qatar. As he emphasized, Poland has diversified sources of this raw material, which minimizes the risk of supply interruptions.
– Today, gas imports from Qatar are in fact less than 10 percent, it depends on the year and the number of deliveries from other directions, the percentage of our demand for gas proves that it is a component that is quite easy to replace and we are already doing that – he said.
