Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Ukraine hoped the United States would not shift its focus from the war in Ukraine to the conflict in the Middle East.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that the authorities in Kiev want the support provided by the United States not to decrease due to the conflict in the Middle East, writes Ukrinform.
The Ukrainian leader said that the war in the region has attracted much of Washington's attention, but Ukraine continues to need military aid and strategic cooperation, writes Mediafax.
President Zelenskiy addressed these concerns in an interview with CNN journalist Fareed Zakaria. “We would not at all want the United States to walk away from the issue of Ukraine because of the Middle East”Zelensky said.
Volodymyr Zelensky said that military developments in the region can influence the flow of weapons and equipment destined for Ukraine. According to him, the large quantities of ammunition used by the US military in operations against Iran could affect the pace of deliveries to Kiev.
He added that the situation could cause delays or even reductions in certain deliveries of military equipment important to the defense of Ukraine.
“In my opinion, the risk is very high”he added.
In the same interview, the Ukrainian leader also made public information about the involvement of Ukrainian specialists in the field of drones in support of some states in the Gulf region.
The experts sent by Kyiv are these days offering advice on defense against air attacks. The mission is being conducted under the coordination of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, and several teams of specialists are already in the region.
“The Americans have contacted us several times. There have been several requests – for assistance to a specific country or support for the Americans. We are currently providing recommendations and consultations to help protect the civilian population and military bases”Zelensky added.
The Ukrainian president also said that Russia supports Iran in the field of drones, through production carried out under license. In all this context, Ukraine aims to provide the USA with the accumulated experience in defense against these technologies.
Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Ukraine could share drone technologies and electronic warfare systems developed during the conflict with Russia.
