In Krasnoyarsk, scammers came up with a new scheme for the fraud of citizens.
Now they are represented by employees of the company serving intercom. According to the reader of Newslab, a stranger called his acquaintances and said that it was planned to replace the equipment and required to change the keys to the intercom. After the consent of the interlocutor, he was offered to choose the number of keys and dictate the confirming code. Thus, the attackers tried to hack an account at the public services portal.
The police warn that scammers can also offer with the help of SMS confirm information about purchases on the marketplace or receiving a letter, etc.
“Providing unknown code from SMS, You give them access to the personal account of the portal “Public services“ and the opportunity to kidnap your money or get a loan for you“– law enforcement officers warn.
