TORasnoyarsk residents were explained whether it is possible to return money for travel if the bus does not stop at the required stop. A city resident addressed this question to the Rospotrebnadzor department.
The man said that he was standing at the exit, preparing to get off at his stop, but the driver drove past and dropped him off only at the next one. The passenger demanded a refund for the fare, but was refused.
The department explained that according to the law, stops for embarkation and disembarkation must be made at all points approved by the regular transport route. The only exceptions are “on demand” stops, where exit is possible only after the corresponding signal from the passenger.
If the driver ignores the scheduled stop, the passenger has the right to file a claim with the carrier. It allows you to demand not only a refund of the fare, but also compensation for expenses incurred, as well as compensation for moral damages.
The claim is made in two copies. One is handed over to the carrier, the second with a mark of delivery is kept. If it is not possible to deliver the document in person, it can be sent by registered mail with notification.
