Adam Britton, who previously worked for the BBC and National Geographic, abused 42 dogs, killing 39 of them. He pleaded guilty to 56 charges. Today the court sentenced him to 10 years in prison.
Britton filmed animal abuse and distributed the videos on the Internet under various pseudonyms. The zoophile often took dogs into good hands, and when asked about their well-being, he lied and sent old photos of the animals.
The criminal's activities were discovered by chance. One of the videos revealed evidence implicating Britton. “Materials indicating child abuse” were also found on his laptop.
