A criminal case has been opened in Krasnoyarsk regarding non-payment of wages in an IT company.

According to the regional prosecutor's office, an IT software development company was registered in Krasnoyarsk in the fall of 2023. The company was led by the general director, who was also the only founder. In the spring of 2025, the company officially hired a specialist under an employment contract, who was paid a salary twice a month.

However, at the end of the summer the payments stopped. From August to October last year, the employee continued to work, but no money was received into his account. The debt grew, and as a result amounted to 400 thousand rubles.

“At the same time, the company’s accounts were not empty. The cash flow shows that amounts of over 2 million rubles came from counterparties, and more than 800 thousand rubles were spent on transfers and business needs of the company. The manager could have disposed of the money in favor of the employee, but did not do so. He didn’t pay the salary, although he had the financial opportunity, and then he himself admitted that he had a debt,” the prosecutor’s office explained.

Based on the results of the prosecutor's audit, it turned out that the employee's salary was not paid for more than 2 months, subject to the availability of funds. Based on this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 145.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The supervisory agency added that by that time the general director of the company was already in custody in another criminal case – for illegal circulation of payment funds (Part 1 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Now the charge of non-payment of wages has been added to this episode. The investigation of the new case has been taken over by the prosecutor's office.
